Looks like everyone is doing pretty good so far but a few have had difficulties. I'll post some ideas and observations in this thread.
1. You have to register to be a forum member. Some folks have been posting as guests and that's OK, but they lose a lot of functionality without being logged in.
2. You can find the "register" button above the banner ad on any main page
3. You may have to temporarily lower your security features regarding "spam" e-mail in order to receive the registration e-mail. IME, the e-mail goes out immediately, so you should have it within a minute. I use Yahoo and my domain e-mail and both arrived within 10 seconds.
4. Copy and paste the password supplied into the password box, if you have a hard time typing. Be sure not to copy any spaces or it won't work. The "login" button is above the banner ad and, additionally, there is a login box and password box at the top of each main page, to the right above the news banner.
5. If you have any membership or logging in issues, be sure to post a thread in Everything Else. We'll get it solved
6. For members who've made duplicate registrations (more than one username for an e-mail address), please advise me which one you wish to keep. I understand that many have tried this because they were having registration problems but I want to keep things as simple as possible, as well as keep usernames consistent with the old forum for those members. Once logged in, you can IM me, or post a thread on it, which I'll delete once everything is cleaned up
Update
AOL users can discuss and hopefully find resolution to their issues in this thread. May the force be with you
Update
After February 11, as guests will not be able to post, people having registration and login issues will have to contact an Administrator or Moderator via e-mail for assistance. Be sure to include "ADF" in the subject line or it'll end up in the black hole
All for now...
