Hello Mary Katherine:
Thank you so much again for your kindness and responding to my "Ode to Autumn." Yes, each season, just like each day for us, offers many things.
I was able to venture out to the store Monday and noticed so many changes along the way. This is the advantage of not being able to go past the front door that much.
Golden Rod is beginning to sway her willowy self in tall grasses. She is saying, "notice me, here I am !" We have a purple flower in bloom also, but I cannot identify it.
Splashes of purple and gold are everywhere, with green returning as the days are a bit cooler. Nature, like man, shows the stress of summer hot heat compaired to cooling tempertures.
All the last roses of summer next door are gone. I stil have four dry ones before mE, now a deep red in color as they sleep.
I find a different beauty in there dry stage. something hard to describe. My books are scattered with leaves, flowers, and feathers found along the way.
I still have golden leaves in my journal from Chicago years ago. I have a friend who sent mE many of her books recently. They have notes, underlinings, all in her handwriting which bring her so much closer to mE.
I find, small, personal, unexpected surprises the best. To find a book in a book shop with a note or card or signing to another intriques mE. I then begin to ask many questions as a picture comes to mnd.
Again, thank you herat for your gentle response and kindness.
Angels on your pillow
Always, Bobute
mE XOXOX
