I found Peter V. Rabins, M. D., M. P. H. book "The 36-Hour Day" book so very helpful as I cared for my husband in my home for 8 years. When he was diagnosed in 1998 I knew nothing about Alzheimer's. His book was a tremendous help to me in giving my husband the best of care. Also I was blessed to find a web site on AD and those care givers saved me and walked the long path with us and became family.
Peter V. Rabins, M.D., M.P.H., is a professor of psychiatry, with joint appointments in medicine, mental health, and health policy and management, co-director of the Division of Geriatric Psychiatry and Neuropsychiatry, and director of the T. Rowe at University of California, Berkely. "Memory", An annual guide to Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia by Rabins is worth the read.
