Link to public announcement: www.nih.gov/news/pr/dec2004/od-20.htmIt appears there were some cardio and cerebro-vascular issues in some of the volunteers receiving NSAID's, specifically Naproxen. Study results were inconclusive, by my perusal. Neo

I know Benadryl is not a NSAID but I find when Del is unable to settle down and gets agitated he will not go to sleep thus I don't get any rest either. I have medical problems myself to deal with and do need my rest. I give him either 25 or 50 mgs of Benadryl and a500mg Tylenol. Then it is good nite Del as he soon is asleep. I didn't ask the doctor about this as started it when we were traveling. When we got home put the car in the garage and the door broke. He was extrememly upset and started flapping as he was worried if we needed a doctor we couldn't get there. I assured him I could call 911 but he kept it up so I gave it to him again here at home. I see the doctor in 2 weeks but am hopeful I am doing nothing wrong. Any advice SnowyLynn. You are always so helpful and who knows better than you? Love LARA

Benedryl makes the AD meds.NOT work as they are supposed & CAN cause problems in the long haul.

Oh my Thankyou so much....I'll not use it anymore. I hope I haven't harmed him. We all try to do our best and can really mess up. Right now he seems alright and in fact I see an improvement in him sometimes. Love Lara
